- Keep it short. Every character adds modules; under 300 characters scans quickly even when printed small.
- Plain text can’t be edited after printing — double-check spelling before you download.
- Emoji and non-Latin scripts work, but take more space than plain letters.
- If you need formatting, images or links, use a Website or Multi-Link code instead.

Does a text QR code need internet?
No. The text is stored inside the code, so it appears even when the phone is offline.
How much text can a QR code hold?
Technically a few thousand characters, but anything over a few hundred makes a dense code that’s hard to scan. We allow up to 1,200 characters.
Can I use Hindi, Arabic or emoji?
Yes. Text is encoded as UTF-8, so any language works. Non-Latin characters use more space.
Can I edit the text later?
No — plain text is always static. Create a new code if the message changes.
What happens on iPhone?
The Camera app shows a notification with the text; tapping it lets the user read or copy it.
