Yes. Creating and downloading QR codes is free, in every format and size we offer.

The content itself — a Wi-Fi password, a vCard, a UPI request — is stored in the code. It works offline and forever, but it cannot be edited after printing.

The code contains a short My QR Studio link. When someone scans it, we send them to your current destination or show your hosted page. The destination can be changed later without reprinting.

Only if you set an expiry date. Expired or paused codes show a clear “no longer active” page instead of a broken link.

Yes. Upload PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. We clear the space behind it, add optional padding and a background, and raise error correction to H so the code stays reliable.

QR codes contain redundant data so they can still be read when partly covered or damaged. Level L restores about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Higher levels make the code denser.

Scanners need strong contrast. Keep the code dark on a light background and avoid pale colours or light-on-dark designs. My QR Studio warns you when contrast is too low.

The empty margin around the code. Scanners use it to find the edges. The standard is four modules; we never let it go below two.

About 2 × 2 cm for scanning at arm’s length. For signs, make the code roughly a tenth of the scanning distance. Always test-scan before printing in bulk.

No. Everything is generated on our own servers with open-source PHP libraries. Your data is not shared with a QR service.

For dynamic codes we record a minimal scan event: a daily-rotating hash instead of the IP address, the device type, operating system and browser family. We don’t store names or precise location.

Yes. Uploaded images are decoded in memory and discarded immediately. We never open links on your behalf.
